Retrieval with less known mail clients

  1. Out of the box, this product won’t provide now standard capabilities like seamless access to meta-data driven resources on the web. If you’re willing to work around this, no problem, but EAC may not be best for those looking for ease-of-use. Look for later versions to plug these holes.

  2. Active Undelete has a cool feature that allows you to recover EFS encrypted files to a FAT formatted partition then convert them back to EFS on a NTFS partition… Not Saying that its not there, but I was not able to find an option to let me do batch conversions. If I would to have had to gone the FAT route I would have had to convert the files one at a time.

  3. Does not work with PDF’s.
    Conflicts with Vista font settings.
    Very outdated software.
    Uninstall is not clean.
Wasted an hour + of my day sorting out the mess.

  4. Doesn’t transfer well to web-hosting organizations.
May look good in Artisteer, but it won’t when you transfer it.
Tried several web-hosting companies and it didn’t work with any of them well.

  5. This latest edition was confusing to download and install. I finally dowloaded each part individually. Thus I have pieces but nothing working together under a single program.

  6. even with checking the settings, there is no output.
Probably because I didnt register it – im just trialling…

  7. This program is so awesome that myself and many others are user but we spent lots of our own free time just helping other people up and going…I have even written my own batch program Gstart to help users get running again.

  8. CONS: You have to get their “Any Audio Convert” separately but it is JUST AS GOOD! Now I can throw away all the programs I had to play certain file types on my Windows computer.

  9. Not much not to like being it is free. There are limits to what formats you can convert to with the free version vs. the upgrade paid for version.

  10. The only con is that you can’t pull from your online bank accounts like Quicken.

  11. Until a few years back this was great software. I’ve read that after True Image 2010 everything went to heck. I got news for you, True Image Homne 2010 is garbage compared to earlier versions as well. I just gave up on 2010 after two years of using it and having to uninstall and re-install it repeatedly, corrupt images, failed restores, errors galore– you name it– it has problems with it. The service–tech support are the best version of a run around I have EVER seen. Tons of promises, no actual support.

  12. 1. I wish it had a way to link to other parts of the same outline (kind of a bookmark-like feature). Not really necessary, just a nice-to-have.
    2. It’s very easy to copy/paste an image into the notes pane of an outline, but doing so has a HUGE impact on file size. Adding 3 JPGs, under 1MB each, to a 60K AO file resulted in an overall file size of 23MB!
    3. Customer support is so-so. They did reply to feedback when I initially installed, and again when I accidentally replied to them instead of a colleague regarding an e-mailed year-end special, but they haven’t replied to a couple of general UI feedback/feature request/tech support-ish kinds of questions. There’s no forum, for users to help each other, and most google hits on ActionOutline are for download sites. At least it is so intuitive that it’s pretty easy to figure out how to do what you want or to determine that it isn’t possible.
